1. Preliminary preparation

(I) Material selection and processing

Before printing, select the appropriate material according to actual needs. Different materials have a great influence on the adsorption capacity of ink and the printing effect. For example, acrylic material has a smooth surface, bright colors and high gloss after printing, which is suitable for making signs and crafts; wood boards are more textured and are often used for home decoration. After selecting the material, clean its surface to remove dust, oil and other impurities to ensure the printing quality. For some materials that require coating treatment, be sure to follow the regulations to enhance the adhesion of ink.

(II) File settings

When importing the designed file into the printing software, you need to check the file resolution, color mode and other parameters. Generally speaking, the resolution should not be less than 300dpi to ensure that the printed pattern is clear; CMYK is recommended as the color mode to obtain more accurate color reproduction. In addition, set the print size reasonably to avoid size deviation.

2. Printing process

(I) Nozzle adjustment

Before each printing, check the status of the nozzle by printing a test strip. If the nozzle is found to be clogged or the ink is unevenly discharged, the device's built-in cleaning function can be used for preliminary cleaning. If the problem is still not solved, perform a deep cleaning. When adjusting the nozzle height, it is necessary to accurately adjust it according to the material thickness to ensure that the nozzle is at a suitable distance from the material surface. If the distance is too close, it is easy to scratch the nozzle and the material, and if it is too far, the printed pattern will be blurred.

(II) Printing mode selection

UV 4060 flatbed printers usually have multiple printing modes such as draft, production, and high quality. The draft mode is fast and suitable for rapid sampling and tasks with low precision requirements; the production mode takes into account both speed and quality and is suitable for batch printing; the high-quality mode has high printing precision and is suitable for making artworks and printed products with strict requirements on color and details. Choosing the appropriate printing mode according to actual needs can improve efficiency while ensuring quality.

3. Post-processing

(I) Curing effect inspection

After printing, check the curing effect. If the curing is not sufficient, the pattern is easy to fade and wear. It can be judged by observing the dryness of the pattern and touching it with your hands. If the curing effect is not good, adjust the power and exposure time of the curing lamp and re-cure.

(II) Finished product protection

When removing the printed product from the platform, be careful to avoid scratching the surface. For some easily damaged materials, a protective film can be applied to the surface to enhance wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

4. Daily maintenance

Regular maintenance of the UV 4060 flatbed machine is the key to ensuring stable operation of the equipment. After daily printing, clean the nozzle and platform to prevent ink residue and dust accumulation. Check the ink system every week to see if the pipeline has ink leakage, bends, etc., and clean the equipment housing and vents in time. Lubricate the mechanical parts and check the electrical system every month. Replace the filter and deep clean the nozzle every quarter. Perform comprehensive calibration and maintenance of the equipment every year.

Mastering the above UV 4060 flatbed machine usage skills can make you more handy in printing work, give full play to the advantages of the equipment, and create greater value.
